Clinical Trials
Medication Trials - We perform formal and informal trials of novel medical treatments for headache disorders.

Procedure and Device Trials - In addition to medications, other treatments for migraine that are under study include medical procedures or neurostimulation devices.

Study of Brain Excitability in Migraine Patients Using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Changes in the excitability of the visual cortex in migraine patients are being investigated by studying their response to pulses of magnetic stimulation.

 

Imaging Studies of Migraine Patients
In collaboration with the Ahmanson-Lovelace Brain Mapping Center, we are performing structural and functional imaging of patients with headache disorders in order to better understand the brain changes that underlie these disorders.
