CHELSEA HESTERMAN, M.D. Assistant Clinical Professor Department of Neurology
Dr. Chelsea Meskunas Hesterman graduated from Princeton University cum laude with a degree in Molecular Biology. She received her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed her residency in Neurology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine as well. Dr. Hesterman received her fellowship training in Headache Medicine from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and is in her second year of fellowship for Interventional Pain Management. She is board certified in Neurology. She published a paper in the journal Headache in 2006 on Trends in Medication Overuse Headache and has presented at the American Academy of Neurology Annual Conference, the Headache Cooperative of New England Annual Meeting and at the American Headache Society Annual Conference on the topics of medication overuse headache, central sensitization and the role of cervical nerves in headache disorders. Dr. Hesterman’s clinical interests include migraine, cluster headache and other trigeminal autonomic cephalgias, trigeminal neuralgia, medication overuse headache and the contribution of upper cervical nerves to headache disorders.
